mustangtech Posted March 21, 2007 Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 (edited) Hi,No quite sure where to post this.Just wondering if other are having the same problems as me when ordering from MiniDisc Canada.They seem to be non responsive to Email or Phone - Emails are not returned nor do they ever pick up the phone or respond to voice mail I put through an order to Minidisc Canada on March 2nd via PayPal waited a week and heard nor received anything. After a week I started by trying to call them (no luck there) left a message (nothing...). Then on the 12th I sent an email asking what up with my order? Finally I received an email back on the 13th say they were waiting for PayPal clearance ? I checked my PayPal account and for what every reason the payment only cleared on the 12th? Ok I thought, I guess the order must of just processed so I guess I'll wait another week. Now on the 21st March still nothing. I'vesent another email and left another voice mail (not really expecting a response !?!) Update: March 30th @ 1:00pmChecked website (still on backorder) site says will have more on March 30th ? I also had no problem talking to a live person the one time I called them.Of course, this was a while ago (over 18 months ago) so things may have changed lately. Purchased an RH-1 via paypal on March 10, Paypal cleared Mar 10. Item was listed as in stock. Your service is being spoken about and people who actually live IN Canada right down the street from you( so to speak) and they are waiting on orders and communication, What gives?" I'm now at 28+ days on my order from March 2nd.I just checked their website and the BACK ORDER notice has changed from "More coming March 23rd" to "More coming March 30th" - This is not looking good if they keep pushing back the date.I'm on the verge of insanity . I will wait one more week, if my order is a no show I will email/call to cancel the order and will file a grievance with PayPal for non delivery + poor communication with seller. I would suggest that any other Canadian MDCF users stay away from MDC if possible unless it's you're last resort. I was also told the "Sony Distribution Center" was to blame as they are the one's resposible for delays in shipment of MZ-RH1's to MDC. Now the aparent shipment date from the "Sony Distribution Center" is the 4th April. Hopefully this is the final delay. I always prefer to pay cash for anything , If I cant hold it I dont buy it . But in todays world , everything is "Online" As Dylan said " The times they are a Changin" hope you get it soon , Make sure to get the 40elk remote for it as well , I have only had mine for two weeks (the remote) and it is permanently attached like an umbilical cord. I called MDC this afternoon at around 4:06pm EST and asked for a status update on the back order from the "Sony Distribution Center" and was told that the MZ-RH1's came in this morning and they are shipping units now as he spoke... Mine finally arrived today as well.Recap: Price listed (C$347) included 'bonus' discs, item in-stock and 1-7 day typical delivery.Ordered March 10. paid Paypal. No response for 24 days - during which time i phoned dozens of times (recording only - left three messages) and emailed three times. Response (finally) was: delay was blamed on supplier (though item listed as in stock at purchase). Minidisc arrived today (Apr.18). No effort was made whatsoever to compensate for trouble.
