MZ-RH1 Battery from Chine

Greetings,

I am losing my patience with "Low Battery" syndrome on my RH1. I'm sure you've all been there. What's with this 19 hours that they claim the battery will perform? Must be with it turned off.

Anyway, local dealers want an astounding $90 for a battery. That's insane.

Now, on eBay, there are a ton of sellers from China with Sony LIP-4WM for sale at $6 to $10 plus ship. Has anyone every bought one of these? Are they really Sony LIP-4WM batteries?

The sellers that I looked at all have good customer feedback and 99%+ positive sales records.

For the price, I may just try one.

Thanks

Yeah , even in Japan , the Original is 54 dollars , what is with that ??????? And there are no seperate chargers for the dang thing .?????

This is one of the main contributing factors to everyone serching for external Battery options . My MZB10 is the only one I dont need that for , it runs on AA's and good life , I just wish it had rec level control .

yeah, i haven't had one blow up on me if that's what you're asking...

Thanks. I think that is the info I needed.

And, your reply was the only rational reply posted.

Charging gumsticks is a different issue. I would think that it should be possible to construct a charge by cannibalizing some other charging station and using the NH1 power brick to energize it.

I have bought a couple of batteries off ebay. I can also confirm they work fine. Bearing in mind that these batteries are spewcifically designed for a select few Sony electronics products I cannot fathom why anyone would go to the trouble of generating fakes! My only rationale around the price is that they have been "acquired from" the actual factory ;)

Just to confirm - like everyone else who has taken the gamble - these batteries are fine, and a hell of a lot cheaper.
