okay, downloaded and used now, experiencing 3 problems:

1. When i use the "import option" i get all music files, but it dont take Itunes files in ? ( itunes is MPEG-4 Music file ) ? :S

2. Ive got some music on the minidisc (MZ-N505 Type-R) but i cannot get them over on the Pc, ? (It says its write-protected ? (Error code: 0000664f))

3. Cannot put music onto the MD as it also says its write-protected ( same error code as be4 )

To Raintheory - Thx for the quick reply :)

This may sound like a silly response, but are you using the "Import Folder" command and is the checkbox for "AAC files (*.3gp, *.mp4, *.m4a)" ticked?

What version of SonicStage did you install BTW?

I'm not sure if Sonic Stage will import some of the DRM'd files from I-toons that have the .M4P extension. It only supports DRM free AAC files.

File ---> Import ---> ( 3 options )

1. Scan Folder .. Did this and tjecked all boxes for all kind of music files, thought that would pick em up, but instead it found all sound files to my games -.-

2. Music File .. When i tried this one its the same, not able to locate Itunes music files - (MPEG-4) - it cant find em even when i select "find all sound files"

3. M3U File .. The same again .. its the same as under Nr. 2, this search just start with looking for M3U files, ..

Raintheory, Richyhu ..

Ive downloaded 4.3 version from link in: http://forums.minidisc.org/index.php?showtopic=9586 ( SonicStage CP 4.3 Europe Version ( Denmark ))

Wrong version ?, might be if a newer version is able to detect and convert MPEG-4 music files into able music to put on MD ?

May be easiest to burn a cd and use simpleburner.

When I burn CD's, for my car, I use the build-in burner in Itunes.

-- Dno where to get the simpleburner, and/or is it compiateble (spelled wrong ? :P ) with music from itunes, all programs ive tried so far has been unable to do it.

Again, thanks for taking ure time helping me out :)

From 4.0 on, Sonicstage has been AAC-compatible, I have used m4a and mp4 files on numerous occasions (though the tags never come across).

If you purchased the files via iTunes store, they probably wont work with SonicStage due to the DRM (Digital Rights Management... basically restrictions that prevent you from doing certain things with the files). This is where the SimpleBurner method comes in....

SimpleBurner can be found in the downloads section here in the forums, it is used to transfer audio CDs to MiniDisc, so you'll have to create a CD with iTunes or whatever first. You can even create an Image of an audio CD (using Nero or a similar program), mount it with a program such as Daemon tools (or Nero imagedrive), and transfer it that way with SimpleBurner (saving a CD). CD-RW's are also good for this, since you can reuse them.

EDIT: Sorry to hear you're having these issues trying to get music on yr MiniDisc... :P
