scuto
Hello all--been a longtime lurker and have enjoyed the board. Due to saddening recent events, I inherited an old Sony MZ-R2 recorder--I had no idea they existed! My first Minidisc unit was a Sharp Mt-831, which is still going strong--my trusty blue guy! However, Hi-MD is awesome for my needs and I love that the MZ-RH1 can upload all my legacy recordings from the Sharp, cos I have a lot! I'm definitely an amateur when it comes to photography--and only recently delved into the world of digital cameras--so please be forgiving with the pics of the ol' MZ-R2! I could have sworn we got the remote with the unit when we inherited it, but I couldn't find it for the pics. (Also saddening is the corrosion visible in the Sharp's battery compartment! The MZ-RH1 is making me neglect it... )

whatsleftofj
The pictorial section of these forums has always been my favorite because I can see real user pics of units I've never seen before Thanks for sharing!
tekdroid
always liked the design of this unit, particularly after the first (jumbo) model that came before this When i bought the mz-r3 they inexplicably didn't decide to include a carry case with a belt clip, so i actually bought the case of the MZ-R2 you have pictured, which I still have somewhere here. Memories. That unit is still looking good despite its age.
scuto
Thanks all! I'm glad you enjoyed! My relative must not have used it much.I realized I chose the wrong words for the topic--it's not *functional* in some way involving the outs, though it'll still read a disc. Going to have to find that remote, though its headphone out, when I initially saw it, wasn't the usual 1/8"! The mystery continues...
