JSP62
In order to use "VP Music Transfer", does not one need to have a VP first??

They should of just called it Sony Music Transfer and lost the VP....how sloppy.does it require you to have sonic stage installed?i dont have it installed...Can't remember, you might not. But why would you not install SS ? You will need it anyways to edit tracks.PS - I love Calvin & Hobbs, I used that nick name when playing games

Tometal
With me, VAIO MUSIC TRANSFER doesn't work at all, on this computer, MP3 file manager does'nt, and sonicstage doesn't.With Sonicstage and MP3 file manager I get all sorts of errors, with VAIO MUSIC TRANSFER I get a pop-up that says "doesn't support interface' (in Dutch). I always upload songs with my dad's pc.Can I do something about it?

Can you give us a screen shot of the errors for SS, MP3 FM and VP.....You said its in Dutch right?...which would mean the shots would be pointless to me (US). I wonder if the correct versions (regionis) were installed. . . .
Tometal
I've edited my post, it's now more clear, I hope.Allright, these are my problems. When I try to install MP3 file manager, I get this.Almost the same problem with Vaio Music Transfer, just can't install it.Only the second sentence is in Dutch and means: "doesn't support interface". With Sonicstage I try to install it and I get this error. After that he just continuous installing, but sonicstage isn't in my program list, only a link to the Sony site.On my fathers computer all those programs work fine. Strange, isn't it?Now downloading SP2, hopefully that will do.About those regions, I've downloaded EU versions, I live in Belgium, so that should do, isn't it?Another edit: just started to redownload SP2, Dutch this time, I downloaded English, which wouldn't work.EDIT: This is my personal home computer, I've tried and uploaded the images with www.imageshack.us. They should be double now. Edited March 15, 2006 by Tometal
JSP62
It would seem that the images do not show. Did you use the attach option we have in the forum? I really want to see what it looks like.Okay, well let us trouble shoot some more:- Is this your personal home computer ?- Gone to the M$ site and used the update feature to install all most recent updates ?- Uninstall all relevant progs, then flush/clean your registry settings for progs(*), then reboot, then install again* using a registry cleaning program fixes all registry settings that are invalid. I use a program called RegCleaner. I think it was actually made by a Dutchman, not sure. You can find here -> http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/...-cleaner4.3.htmYou will need to setup some options before running. BE CAREFUL when using this program. Because we are talking about your registry be careful, I only use this program for the main purpose of this procedure. REF the pics and select the optoins I have. Be sure to SELECT all files RegCleaner finds as invalid and click REMOVE SELECTED. You should be all set when completed. My guess is that your registry has some keys that are affecting the program to work properly. I know in this forum, I have seen a few threads with registry info to delete (I think Stuge knows a few). You can do them manually by finding them, but this program hopefully should do it for us. Good Luck Edited March 15, 2006 by JSP62

JSP62
Do a google search of the error and see what pops up. Hopefully someone else has had this problem. We cannot proceed with SS, MP3FM or any other relevant program until we resolve this issue with SP2.Keep us postedUPDATE: A google search of "SP2 install errors HKCR" showed many results. Review the findings and see if you can isolate your problem. Edited March 15, 2006 by JSP62

JSP62
Not really relevant to the conversations here, but does have relevance to the thread topic....Would anyone know a situation why Vaio Music Transfer would not work, but MP3 File Manager would?I am having this issue, plus other problems. The answer to this could help me understand my underlining problem. Thanks
