fewes17
Hi!I have a corrupt version 4.3 of Sonicstage that always says "Updating Sonicstage DatabaseSonicstage will be restarted when updating has completed." and then shut down when you try to run it.I read in another thread that you were supposed to download the MDAC repai tool from the downloads section.I followed the link to the macropool page and then downloaded the utility, then I ran it, and it said I have to pay to access it because I don't have any macropool software installed and that it's for macropool users exclusively. What??? Am I supposed to pay to fix something that I already payed for? (I have a walkman MP3) I even have macropool software installed!I'm sick and tired of never being able to use my MP3 player, so please help me to fix this problem once and for all.I'm running Microsoft XP Service Pack 2, and I've tried another fix where I re-installed the "C:\WINDOWS\Inf\Mdac.inf" file, but that didn't work. You will also need to clear the registry of SS before installing 4.2 .
Richard
4.3 also runs fine on XP in my experience although some people say that they have had issues. You could try re-installing MDAC completely from this link before you go the whole hog and re-install SS:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en
fewes17
I tried uninstalling 4.3 and installed 4.2, same problem.I also tried downloading the new MDAC file, but I couldn't. Seems I have an illegal version of xp wich is strange considering I bought it retail.Anyone know why I have to pay to use the MDAC repair tool?
