podmed2
Does anyone know if Sony is still making ANY Hi-MD players? Only the MZ-M200 if anything? Any reliable information vs. "rumours." I would think that another company (Onkyo, etc) would make some hardware and market it "correctly" to the world and emphasize sound quality and recordability, etc. Thanks for your replies.PS - I have both ipod and MD units. I am always amazed how "nice" the MD sounds in comparison to the iPod. I would love to know that I can play my Hi-MD discs on "something" in 20 years...although my hearing would be shot

Sony has stopped production and research on anything further MD/HiMD. MD/HiMD is now in the same state as DAT, reel-to-reel, etc.
