That would be the deal sealer if thats the case.Dunno, I'm not a Mac person. But the Windows data mode is not that useful, given the capacities of other storage media now. When you put on a file using Windows, the HiMD cannot play it. Even mp3's (I don't do that either so I might be misinformed). However the big advantage the later HiMD's have is that they don't need your PC to transcode the mp3 to Atrac+ first when transferring via SonicStage.
