Abby Normal
Have I lost my mind or is there a sudden dearth of Hi-MD blanks?!? Oh sweet heavens, please say it isn't so!!!! Anyone have any idea/news?Well--I watched minidisco.com's available stock plummet from 75 to 0 over the last couple of weeks. Hopefully they will get more in, but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks for reminding me. I just checked tracking on a purchase of HiMDs I made here. It's stalled in Canada somehow according to USPS tracking--but who knows, sometimes USPS sucks at scanning this stuff when they get it. There's still some on ebay for "fair" prices. Here's what USPS tracking shows me--it'll probably show up soon with no further report :Class: Priority Mail International ParcelsService(s): International ParcelsStatus: Origin Post is Preparing ShipmentWe have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece. KJ_Palmer
Still some on Amazon, and on EBay - well, there was when I checked a few weeks back. Had 10 shipped over from Hong Kong very quickly, to keep me going for a while. Probably the stocks are dwindling, so best to get them while you can... Abby Normal
BTW, I emailed minidisco asking them about restocking and they said they expect to get more in about 2 weeks with the prices remaining steady. So, unless their suppliers are lying to them there's no need to panic yet.
Sony_Fan
Eventually they will run out, and anyone holding brand new Hi-MD blanks will have the upper edge on asking price. But I have seen prices go up. It's just basic economics, you have a dwindling supply with a steady demand.
Loque
They'll always be on ebay. I have to go to my local Sony Store to get mine though - nowhere else sells them.

However, from that 29 you still have to select which ones offer reasonable shipping, are trustworthy, and are showing accurate inventory. bobt
As far as I know minidisc Canada still has Hi-MD's as well, and they are good to deal with. And don't forget you can format 74 and 80 minute discs to get extra capacityBob
Abby Normal
I forgot to add the stipulation up there that you have to sort them by price (in case that wasn't obvious).
