RED SHIFT1
A few weeks ago I used my Sony Md Walkman MZ-NH600 to record some cds tracks that I had stored in Sonicstage to a Sony Premium Recordable 74-min blank MD. So today I wanted to edit the disc title and when the Simple Burner loaded up I got this error message:"Cannot continue becuase files because files on this disk are being used by another program"I have never seen this before. I reformatted the disk and still got the same message. Everytime I put in the disk into the player, I get the same message. Help!I have attached a screenshot by using a program called Jarte. The file is in MS Word.error_message.doc
sfbp
Try deleting the contents of wherever SonicStage keeps all its "optimized files" (ie the ones after conversion but before transferring). Also a good idea to have SS delete them routinely (somewhere in options). Most likely this is (sort of) a Windows problem. The files are genuinely opened by another program. I saw this one a couple of days ago and it just went away.
Avrin
Try restarting the computer and/or disabling the anti-virus software.
THIS SUCKS
rebooting should solve the problem.
silkthinker
rebooting should solve the problem. Hi everyone. Sadly, I have come across this message too. I reinstalled Simple Burner 2, I edited back the hosts file (unrelated, but I thought it could have something to do) so Microsoft's Visual Web Developer Express Edition could preview files in web browsers, rebooted, disconnected the unit several times (properly), took the battery out, EVEN included Simple Burner to the trusted program's list within my firewall but nothing works. Everything seems to work fine within SS, even playback from the HiMD unit, but I love the simple, direct way to rip CDs via Simple Burner. My HiMD drive is recognized by my system (I can see the files in it via Windows Explorer) but Simple Burner says the files within any MD disc are being used by another program. Any ideas? Please? silkthinker
Well, since I hate to leave problematic topics without a happy ending and the solution to the problem (as I found this topic BTW), let me tell you that after starting up Sonic Stage and erasing some tracks from the HiMD unit, all seems to be OK with Simple Burner. I am transfering Lennon's Anthology as I type. I could not tell you why it's working, but it is and I'm quite glad.
