spider1135
I just loaded the OpenMG and Net Md simple burner to Window Vista, it is 2.2 version. I loaded the driver first before, then the programs, after reboot the computer, I click on the OpenMG, it shows the program can only use by administrator, log off and log in to administrator, see your administrator, but I am the only one use the computer, I am signed in as administrator, I logged off and logged back in, it won't work, it just keep coming back. When I try the Net MD simple burner, samething happen, but show extra, " OpenMGjukebox startup is currently running. Please close OpenMG Jukebox Startup and launch Simple burner again." But I don't have any programs open. Need help, does anyone know the answers. Thanks.
Giant_Rick
Do you have a 64-bit version? If yes, no way. You need an emulator with e 32-bit version. But I suppose you have a 32-bit one as you actually installed the program. Try to open the taskmanager and find the process of the program.. I don't know how it's called on Vista, but you should recognize it; then stop it and try to lunch. If it doesn't work, try to uninstall and install again.. Good luck! Guest Talisin
Hi spider1135. I'm not an expert, but I think, from my experience, that simple burner won't work under Vista. Well, at least I couldn't it work under Vista through the almost three years I have it until change to Win7. Maybe under a virtual machine, as Giant_Rick has said before. And openmg...I never used it under Vista, but my question is: why do you use it instead the late SonicStage version (I recommend you the Ultimate SS by Avrin). I have it installed in my computer during that three years and always worked ok for me. Well, really I have a problem with it similar as yours, but only once and since the system was then totally up-down (because I was trying a lot of alpha and beta software) I never knw if it was a proble from SS or from the system. KJ_Palmer
Indeed, you need to install Sonicstage 4.3, which (I believe) is the only version that works with Vista. You can get it by following the download links in Avrin's Ultimate 4.3 installer. You may need to completely uninstall your current version of Sonicstage first, and all it's components, and registry keys, etc. Also, you can't run Simpleburner with 4.3, unfortunately. Avrin
Actually, SimpleBurner works with 4.3, but only under Windows 2000/XP.
spider1135
Thanks to all. I have 4 computers at home, so loaded the programs to 3 computers, one is window vista, second is window XP, and the third is window 2000 ME, the fouth is window ME. The OpenMG jukebox and Simple burner BOTH don't work on Vista, but the OpenMG jukebox works on XP and window 2000/ME, NOT the simple burner. The Simple burner should works on window XP and 2000/ME, every time I click on the simple burner, that "The OpenMGjukebox startup is currently running. Please close OpenMG Jukebox Startup and launch Simple burner again" keep showing up. I like to use the simple burner because it is simple enough to use, can anyone have idea how to fix that problems. As on the window vista, I might try Sonicstage 4.3; thanks for the info on this.
sfbp
If you installed the program that **calls itself** OpenMG Jukebox, you have an ancient relic which will not work. However the name of the executable file did not change when they "renamed" for marketing purposes to "Sonic Stage". Did you know that it is far more important to shut down Windows when you REMOVE a program than when you ADD one? Perhaps you need to take seriously the advice to remove all traces of Sony Software from these machines before you try adding Sonic Stage Ultimate (Avrin's nice version) back in again. Also you would be well advised to be (stay) connected to the internet, or the encryption setup will not authenticate, I feel sure, if there is any recovery to be done (which is usually the case if you had another version already running and removed it for upgrade, leaving behind some "useful" data that SonicStage knows about). This may have some strange effects on startup. Another suspect is antivirus programs. Very likely they need to be turned completely OFF (Sony warn you about this) at least during installation. Good luck Stephen
