I haven't got Sonicstage on this computer, but (from memory) it's quite easy.

- Select and right click on the track, and choose Properties.

- Change the Album name to the target Album. The Album name should be exactly the same, so might be best to copy that name from the Album in Albums View.

- Also, and this important - make sure the Compilations box is checked (for both Album and the extra track) if the extra track's Artist is different from the Artist(s) in the target Album.

Hope that helps/works.

Kevin, thank you for your kind help.

Yes, this works fine. I wonder why there is not a direct procedure, e.g., drag and drop, provided in this software?

Because unfortunately most of the software seemed to be about preventing you from doing things that Sony felt might expose it to legal charges of "encouraging copyright breaking".

Another way to join two albums, is to modify the Album title to exactly the same as another album. You can use Cut and Past on the fields. Click and release to select, if you know Windows, tricky I admit. Note that unless the ARTIST is the same or (null) then it will have one album of that name for each artist. Again this is easily fixed by tinkering with the artist field for the ALBUM, a list drops down and you magically change ALL the tracks at one time.

Hope I'm not being too cryptic. Mess around (carefully) and I think you'll get it.
