fukuda
those units always have bad record heads. the ribbon cable cracks. ,maybe its that I tried to read the disc on another reader (MZ-RH1) and I found that those tracks are not audible because they are nor recorded on the disc. The MZ-RH1 doesn't read them too ! Maybe my N707 is good for the bin. Thanks for your attention. Regards.
sfbp
There's a guy in England who can fix it for 10 pounds. The overwrite ribbon cable is busted, for sure.

fukuda
Here Good luck, please let us know your experience. Stephen As promised I am back to tell the end of the history. My MZ-N707 returned from England perfectly fixed and working fine. The guy (Jim) has done a good work and a perfect feedback on what he did and why and how he did it. I highly recommend him to anyone with a broken down MD recorder. Ask him before sending a Hi-MD recorder. You'll find the list of the models he can fix on eBay. Nothing more to say. Just that you can trust him
