Vapex gumstick batteries

You may have to "revive" them. Do you use a charger, or an MD unit? Some are better than others. I find that whenever I had a doubtful gumstick battery, I stick it in my MZ-R91 and it magically comes back to life. Not sure why.

[/i have both battery charger and obviuosly charge in MD, but there is no difference in the performance of the vapex, ie still poorb]

Yeah, but you don't say which ones. Not all chargers are created equal. Not all MD units which charge are, either. Some seem to have enough "oomph" to break down something in the molecular structure of an old NiMH battery. You can tell because it will get very hot, usually once, and then after that it will work rather better. When I say "old" I use the word advisedly - the reason you got 'em cheap most likely that they sat on a shelf for a while.

Get yourself an MZ-R91? - there are 8 on sale on Ebay UK right now, for not much money. Weird but worked on more than one of these units.

Ok, I might do, but I also have an old machine the MZR-700PC and a battery charger that I bought with the batteries so I can charge them in the car on the way to concerts.

Thanks for the advice.
