DVD Authoring Suite Recommendations?

Question

Having recently bought my first VAIO laptop just the other day, I was a pleasently surprised to find a lack of "bloatware" (which supposedly Sony is infamous for!)... I was however, disappointed at the lack of a DVD authoring suite.

All of the laptops I have bought in the past 10-15-ish years have included a CD or DVD authoring suite of some description and as a result, I have never bothered to actually purchase a suite seperately... Now however, I find myself in such a position that I need to purchase a DVD authoring suite of some description, but I'm not sure what to get as I've only used Cyberlink's DVD Suite and a long, long time ago, Roxio's Easy CD Creator.

What do you all sugest for a DVD authoring suite and why?

Does the video version of Sonic Forge (it's called Vegas, I think) do what you want?

I know there are some hooks in SF to help with editing video sound tracks, but the real DVD stuff is elsewhere.

Nero 9 should do most of what you want. There's also WinDVD Creator.
