Question

Hello everybody

I have a problem with my Sony Walkman NWZS765B Series, 16GB.Unfortunately from a week or so my walkman won't power up or charge or show any kind of life when is connected to the computer or other usb port, after battery got fully discharged. I tried everything so far: reseting, different usb ports, devices or usb cables.Nothing...It's almost new mp3, just ten months old and hardly used.Is it possible that the battery died so quickly?Any ideas guys?I am desperate to fix it.

Cheers

Martin

Call Sony.

Be careful, I would assume that at least one version of reset will completely wipe the memory and require a firmware reload. You may have already done this. Again guessing, I might suppose that a 30 second reset might be different from a 1 second reset. Or you may be required to hold down some key at the same time as applying power..

Hopefully you have copies of your music. New preload including firmware should not be hard to come by, probably from Sony direct.

Good luck!

Hello Inquisitor and thanks for reply.

I called Sony. Not very helpful at all.Lots of resets, even over 30 seconds done (with power/on-off button or play/pause kept pressed).Few other buttons checked as well.Nothing at all.I have a backup of all my tracks so reload of firmware wouldn't be a problem but this bloody walkman doesn't want to power up even for 1 second. No chance for installing a new firmware. No more ideas.....
