sfbp
Get hold of the service manual - then we'll see.

Minidisc boi
mate I had a look, like you stated in another post, for the life of me and can not find a service manual to the Onkyo MD-
sfbp
Me too, I don't think those Onkyo ones are going to be easy to find. The (Sony) portables have NO ready-made digital out on the DSP chip. It may well be the same for the decks.
Minidisc boi
btw Is it possible to put a 240V 50 Hz tx in it, and get rid of the 110V 60Hz tx?
sfbp
Nope. And it doesn't even run reliably on 110V.... you need the correct xformer for 100V. Cycles don't matter, Japan is mixed 50 and 60.
