Problem with software update

I press the netflix button on my sony bravia tv, but when it loads it tells me that my tv needs a sofware update. I press the button to install the new software update it says it will start downloading but then it says there is no new update and sends me back to what i was watching. The problem is it won't let me watch netflix or use any app because it needs an update but there is no update available. Please help

Sorry but this sounds like a Sony product support problem. We don't know that much about TV's here.

Try disconnecting from the mains for an hour. (not standby with red light but physically disconnected). Maybe there's a way to get back to factory state such as turning on with some combination of buttons, but unless you have the service manual, only Product Support will be able to tell you this.
