freddiematters
Would this be the same instructions for a Hi MD MZ-RH910? When I first plugged in the MD player, the computer (Windows 7 Home Premium) recognized the player and installed the driver without any issue. Then I found ultimate SS here, installed it, and now I can't get the computer to recognize the player. I get the error message that the drivers for the player did not install correctly, and SS does not show the player as an option for transfer. sfbp
The driver is not part of the Ultimate (or indeed the online-from-Sony) package. It is here: (assuming you have 64-bits Windows, or you would likely not have any problem)
freddiematters
Thanks! That worked, and now the player is recognized both by Windows and also in SS. One stupid question, since I haven't used this device in years: if the recordings were done in regular MD (not even net MD), on another device, is it true they cannot be transferred using SS, like HiMD recordings? And then I will need to re-record them using a line out from the headphone jack, and a line in to my computer? Thanks.
sfbp
You need the MZ-RH1 (or MZ-M200). No ands ifs or buts.....Sorry, it's effectively a hardware limitation.
