bluecrab
The 333ES has the CXD9556AQ DAC So, I think, does the JB940. Compare to the CXD8735N-TP in the JA20ES and JB930. They all produce excellent digital output—suitable for CD. And they all are also good on the ADC side.Numbers aside, I run LP O.out from MXD-D400 > JA20ES. Excellent results. And I've made [O.out > O.in] [MD > MD] copies from the JA20ES <> D400. SQ better than I expected.RIght now, would not mind a JB980....NetMD enabled deck, I think. sfbp
Honestly the netMD on decks isn't worth the grief.VERY slow transfer compared to portablesVERY inflexible compared to M-CrewVery annoying to find you have a deck with things on it you cannot edit. And one more thing. 230V only. bluecrab
VERY interesting. The 230V could be overcome, of course. The rest...well, the "VERY slow transfer" slowed me down quite a bit, along with the other caveats. Ah well, another dream dashed by daylight. ;-)
mick_t
Can someone please recommend the best software to use with the PCLK-MN10 and a PC3 and 940? I have not been able to find a website with download of MCrew that has been able to work on my PC with Windows Vista... Is SonicStage a better option? sfbp
You need M-Crew. Will not work in 64-bits. Note that the non-Japan version of 940 will not work with M-Crew. Edited August 26, 2015 by sfbp
mick_t
Thanks Ill try getting that to work. So I need a 32 bit PC or is there a downloaded driver to use on 64-bit? What would you use for the 940... Sonicstage? Edited August 26, 2015 by mick_t
sfbp
You MUST have a 32 bit PC or a virtual pc running 32 bits Windows for MCrew940 is absolutely not pc connectable unless you have the Japan edition.
sfbp
Guess what!? On further inspection the circuitry in the 640 and 940 is all there to support both keyboard and PCLK at the same time. All I have to do is to figure out how to enable it.
