NW-HD5 screen Cracked

Hey my screen recently cracked somehow a friend must of done it .. i went to currys where i bourght it and i onlly had the player for around 20 days..They said that it not part of the warrantys (accidental damage) and said that sony will charge more for the screen then i bourght it for(150) so i dont really want to send of to sony what shal i do does any1 know any private companys what repair hd5s

hmm so u didnt buy any kind of service plan along with the player? if u did, it's gonna be cheaper than replacing the screen. Try to get one maybe?

Its not a good idea to get it repaired now (sell that player as spare parts ).Leave that player & buy another one .

What's cracked about it just the plastic or is the LCD damaged as well?

If its just the plastic then you can it replaced for for £33.56 from Sony parts dealer on 08702406354. I just got off the phone from them because i'm looking to get a new screen and outer casing for my HD5H but the case costs £85.12!! WTF! Does anyone have any idea where i can pick one up for less?
