0 giki
Hey Bueller, i got one of thse and they are alright but nothing too exciting apart from the sports features.Trouble is they are expensive but usual sony chracteristics.
0 Bueller
Have you had a go at using the sports features as they are very cool, and the shuffle shake is what usually gets people noticing it! Bueller
0 Guest Stuge
@Bueller:With Which Sony Model are you comparing NW-S2xx series with ?It is a Nice device ,No doubt .Basically made for Gym people or for those who like to listen music while playing outdoor games . 0 jonny mac
I'm not interested in this player, largely due to the fact that it's much bigger in real life than it looks in photos. I'd rather get one of the other flash players.

0 aznbro85
I use my NW-S205F as my "beater" walkman (well, that, and my 2nd gen iPod Shuffle) The pedometer and all that other stuff are nice little fluff features, but it really drains the battery quicker than if you were to disable it all..For regular day to day listening, I'd use my other ones, but when I decide that I want to be "active", i'll use this one.I guess I'm just paranoid about scratching up the other ones, with the plastic cabinets and all... with the 205F there's just that small area for the one-line OLED screen, and the rest of the player is more metalic and i guess less 'prone' to getting scratched up, heh.. 0 Zizone_
I am wondering why Sony stop supplying their sort of trade mark soft bag for their Walkmans (something that started with MD players I believe). Since they no longer supply these bags with the player, I just use black bag supplied with NW-E407 in the past for my NW-S706F from getting scratch. 0 kerfuffle
Maybe they were expecting the players to be worn on a neck-chain, like a piece of jewellery. (They do look good! ) Or in the case of the Sports series, on the armband.
0 Bueller
Maybe its about the concept of the size... so mini disk is too big for some pockets so need sprotection in your bag, yet a small mp3 doesnt need protection in your pocket?Strange but kind of see the logic there! (They do look good! ) Or in the case of the Sports series, on the armband.yea then $ony will earn another $20 from u for the lanyard...sigh... 0 kerfuffle
Buy a different lanyard. xDI don't think Australia have Sony lanyards. Closest I've seen is lanyards with 'atrac3plus' on it worn by shop assistants.
0 Zizone_
Well, if they are not supplying the soft bag, at least they can sell one but they don't... and I really like these bags than leather cases.
0 Jillako
Back to the topic - Bueller, I have the 2 GB unit and love it. I'm a long time MD user and love the stick remotes. This unit is just a bit bigger than a stick remote and it is all of the player! The sound quality is good but not as good as MD units - I do not have other ATRAC walkmans. I think even the PSP sounds better. There is too much hiss for my liking. However, when I am on a hike, taking the train or biking to work (like this morning), I always end up using this player. Also good for when I go snowboarding. So I use it a lot but I cannot ask for any upgrades really. To navigate more than 2GB on this screen would be hard.
