Intelligent Shuffle etc.

Alright, Sony have given us all these intelligent shuffle options, Time Machine, Artist etc. from the Ax000 series. My question do you use them though?

Myself I have tried some of them, but never used them again. In fact I don't even use the standard shuffle and repeat options that often. I guess I'm just 'old school' when it comes to using DAPs - I just like listening to complete albums as I did when I first started using Cassette Walkmans.

So how about the rest of you?

I don't have Intelligent Shuffle on my NW-HD1. I wouldn't mind having it, though.

i would like to try the intelligent shuffle feature as well. I wanted an A608 last summer, but they were sold out so i had to go for an E507 which lacks this feature =/

sadly my 005 doesnt have any intel. shuffle either (sports time thingy doesnt count xD)

I use the shuffle by year. I don't actually use the time machine because having the year chosen at random hasn't interested me yet. I also use artist link as an alternative to genre. I have also used artist link to link artists who are actually connected. For example I could link Frank Zappa with The Mothers of Invention or Wings with The Beatles or Kevin Breit with The Sisters Euclid and Folkalarm. (Sorry, I got a little pedantic there) This has required me to maintain the artist link groups manually because. I find that the default groupings can sometimes be arbitrary.

One thing I was never clear on was whether there was any difference between "Shuffle All" on the intelligent shuffle menu and selecting all tracks in shuffle mode. Anyone think there's a difference?
