A3000 and sony's extended warrenty

Hey hey. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience dealing with sony, their products and extended warranty? specifically in north america or better yet in canada? as well more specifically, with mp3 players or audio/video equipment.

the sony dude told me, if the product breaks, just bring it in, no questions asked we will give you a new one and if that model is not available, you will get the new model. true or false?

I think it's true. When I complained about the battery life of my NW-HD1 a few months after I bought it, I was offered the opportunity to exchange it for a we-just-got-it NW-HD5, as the shop I purchased it from didn't stock the NW-HD1 anymore.

hmm im not really sure. I know warranty is real solid stuff here in canada, but i had some unhappy experience with sony's ppl when i was trying to return something. I think it is good generally speaking, but there are chances that u'll meet some ppl that don allow such things =/

p.s. if my 507 breaks i'll get an A808 for sure
