0 markey
Hi & welcome to Atrac Life. Have you tried the 3 different sized tips that come with the phones? You may not be getting a proper seal on one ear. You could try resetting the unit by using a pin or paper clip to press the Reset button on the back of the unit. 0 Shinji Ikeda
Additionally, have you ensured that the headphones are fully inserted into the jack on both the the player and the extension cord (if you are using the extension cord). When the headphones are not completely inserted the left channels volume becomes quieter that the right channel. Try see if the volume is balanced between both sides. Test with both ears, then only with your right ear. The only other solution is to return it to place of purchase.

Question
depeche2001
Hi.

I'm new on this site.

I've just registered myself just to know if someone here could help me...

I have one of the SONY NW-S706F MP3 player.

Very impressive with the sound quality, especially with the noice cancelling feature.
But just when I noticed the plug of the headphone, I realize that I might have some troubles in the future, and, in deed, I have.

The headphone that the player provides (MDR-NC022), inexplicably started to sound lower on the left side...
This is the first time that a SONY device that I own brings to me a problem...

I just don't know why this has happened.
I have not make a bad using of the player, or the headphone in itself...

Just one day this happened, and well, as I know, this headphone cannot be bought as an external accessory.

Some one here knows but could be the problem????????

I have checked the player with other headphones and they play well... So the headphone is the problem on its own...

Well, I hope to find some help here.

Cheers.
