NW-A800 series colors

So far I've just seen the NW-A800's in the shops and online in Black, White and Pink(!?). Sony's ad campaign seems to have revolved mostly around a blue/violet one, which I thought was kinda cool looking.

Would luv to get an 8GB A800 in that color... does anyone know if it's available or will be available?

I did Google it and came up with references on only Japanese sites.

I don't think its available in Japan only because Sonystyle Japan says Silver model is Sony style limited model ,but on the other hand Purple is not listed on Sony UK site.

The silver model is exclusive to SonyStyle Japan, and the Violet model to Japan. You can get the violet model from an Japanese based seller on sites such as EBay or in Japan. No Japanese eTrailer is allowed to sell any model destined for the Japan outside of Japan.

eBay is the only place to get colours not available in your market.

I got the black 8Gb.

Ok, looking good, better then the white one, but if I could get it I would prefer the purple too;

I had a purple A3000 and it looked really cool.

Not so important that it justifies the extra costs (customs can get really expensive here lately), trouble, and waiting to have it shipped from Japan though.

It is very easy to do, especially if you have experience with Sony's user interface icons.
