S705 - tracks cannot be deleted

Question

Somtimes when I delete albums from my S705 I get a message that certain tracks cannot be deleted. But htn the albums are gone & these tracks with them. But are they really gone or are they sitting somewhere on the player, invisible but occupying memory? I occasionally get a track on the player that cannot be playd but has no tag info.

I'd rather not remove all the albums on the player to check this as I'd have to re-convert which would take some time.

I'm assuming you can delete the tracks ok through Sonic Stage and that this happens exclusively on the unit itself?

As far as I'm aware it's not possible to delete tracks on the unit, only through SS.

If the tracks are still there but hidden it means I'll have to periodically remove everything, format the player & then re-transfer. Which would be a pain.

Anyone else had this problem?
