Sony's New HDD Walkman

Rate this question

Question

I remember reading hints and comments suggesting that Sony would release higher capacity walkmans later this year (maybe HDD or maybe flash).

Anyone have any updated info on this. Particularily interested in any 'hints' the admin staff may be able to provide. Pretty please?

I don`t know if there will come something from the admin team soon..... really can`t believe that anymore...

But it would be nice if someone of the admin team would give us a date when there will come any more news on "Sony changes everything" `cause I`m nearly dying for more news... I wanted to buy a new Sony Flash Player, but now I`ll better wait what to come...

I'm in the dark just as you guys are, don't really know what is happening. I would think that with the release of the new a800 and NW01x line, I would sony wants to ride out this for a while. with no clear idea if the a800 will make any us debuts, anyone in the USA shouldn't hold their breath for any new sony stuff.

It's odd sony would wait this long. I am also a little upset to see Sony USA not releasing the new A800 series yet. I'm perfectly happy with my HD1 and won't be upgrading it for atleast 2 yrs. But I would still like to see sony release a new HDD Walkman. If sony would re-release the HD1 with all the new features and codec support they have now, they would have a true winner again.

I, too, would love to see an improved HD1. (That's the one I own.) I have no complaints other than that I wish it had a bigger hard drive: 40Gb, at least. Getting rid of the cradle and having a direct USB connection would be nice, too. And a removeable battery. Ok, that's it. :)

And, yeah, I am higly dubious that we'll hear about this "Sony changes everything" teaser anytime soon, if at all.
