Question

Rumors are abound of new walkmans coming out and here is something to back it up, maybe its only for the asian countries but i sure hope it comes my way.

USB and FM radio seems like a dream, now if it has a normal ac adapter and maybe even a remote jack then this is the next device for me.

------------

A bit more rumor mongering for ya. The NWZ-A series will launch in 2, 4, and 8GB models in black, white, silver, and pink (8GB is black-only). The NWZ-S series includes an FM tuner. Both support USB Mass Storage with an announcement as early as Friday and will offer 18 hours of video / 33 hours

I think they just killed long running S series design tradition with this NWZ-S610...

I mean, its design really cannot be compared to NW-S700 or NW-S200 series.

Here is the video of the NWZ-S610

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2vedj_pr...610-par-ge_tech

I think i am the only one who likes it, i guess i just prefer FM Radio to good earphones as i already have some

I like it too. It's cute lol I looove my A806 but I found it a bit too slim. The acrylic case took care of that problem.. This one is less slim so i think it's a bit more ergonomic for the hands. The colours are more vibrant and I like them plus the Radio. If I didn't had the A806 I think I would sacrifice a bit of screen for the radio and go for the S616 blue one... I don't care about the phones because I have ones better... But it will only convince me when I have one on my hand.

they run linux ? and the source code is released under GPL ?,

im seeing costum firmware soon enough...

No no no, it's not the actual source code of the firmware. Sony just posted the tools they used (which are based on open source/linux) to create the firmware. I got too excited. Sony does seem to like Linux (allowing Linux installation on the PS2 and PS3). But hey, if people can hack the iPhone, I don't think it's impossible.

Just a side note, with all the irony, isn't it funny that Sony used Linux/open source for a firmware containing Microsoft's DRM play-for-sure? :D Sony, Microsoft, Linux, and open source all in the same sentence? :D:D

I have purchased Sony NWZ-S618F mp3 player.

1. I want to insert some playlists to my Sony mp3 player.

I can drag&drop them.

The problem is that I use Winamp 5.34 to create playlists.

I use Winamp 5.34 as a default software player.

Is there a way to make winamp playlists compatible with my Sony NWZ-S618F?

I prefer creating playlists by using winamp cause it's a very friendly to user software.

My winamp can see the Sony NWZ-S618F. And I can send songs from the playlist editor songs straight to Sony mp3 player.

I hope there is a way to avoid using Window Media Player as far as playlists is concerned.

2. And something else.

Each time I open Windows Media Player, it automatically adds some images from My Images of Windows to the Sony mp3 player. Is there a way to stop that?

Thank you very much in advance.
