Bin_Hex_Oct_Dec Posted May 7, 2004 Report Share Posted May 7, 2004 I recently bought a MZNF520D. The problem i have is that Sonic Stage will not open. Each time I click on it a message pops up saying "updating sonic stage database, please restart after updating". I click "ok" and a window pops up for a brief second saying, "converting sonic stage database" then disappears. I click on the sonic stage icon again and the whole process starts all over. Bin_Hex_Oct_Dec Posted May 10, 2004 Author Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 The version I have is 2.0. The CD I have says 2.0U. I checked the readme file and I don't need the patch on Sony's website (my version includes the fixes). Ive also tried to uninstall it and delete the sony registry keys so that when I reinstall, the CD will revert back to the default database folder. It did revert back but I had the same message pop up. I have no clue why its doing this. My Net MD Simple Burner is working perfectly though. Leland Posted May 10, 2004 Report Share Posted May 10, 2004 I can't help you, but I can confirm what you see is not unique. My son had exactly the same problem after performing an upgrade from SS 1.5. I suggest completely uninstalling and reinstalling the program. His was fixed but in an unorthodox way: we were in the process of reinstalling windows from scratch to pep up his system and remove some stubborn spyware, something I would not usually recommend as it is very time consuming.
