  1. Have you tried to reformat the disc?
  2. Lucy, Sonicstage2 will work just fine for you with your n505. Download the Sonicstage program from www.connect.com if you're in North America or www.connect-europe.com if you're in Europe. Sonicstage2 will work just fine for you.
  3. Take those pictures Kurisu. I'm interested in seeing that NH900 too. I hope it arrives soon.
  4. It seems like a power issue, so the issue is probably a battery, battery contact, or something internal to the power supply. Try cleaning the internal battery contacts with isopropyl alchohol on a cotton swab. That can at least clean the battery contacts.
  5. Download the newest version of software from www.connect.com if you're in the US. There's a Connect site for Europe too, but I don't know the URL..
  6. It won't mess them up at all. Most folks don't bother with burn-in, they just enjoy their headphones. The sound will gradually change as you use them. The general concensus(sp?) is that the change will be for the better.
  7. ^^I'm with aeriyn on this one. I love MD, but the cheapest I've ever gotten them for is about a buck a piece, while I spend about $20 for a 100 CDRs.
  8. I didn't know that you've bought replacements. I read about how you lost your last pair of e3c's
  9. You may have a bad gumstick battery. Have you tried to use a different gumstick battery, or tried to use the player with the AA battery connected?
  10. The MZ-NH800 is the only option for #1. There is no option for #2. As for #3, you can get in excess of 24h our constant battery use if you use low bit rate music.
  11. First off, Sony knows that not everyone will use a microphone to record on their minidisc units, so they make low end units for those folks. They've been doing this ever since they released the MZ-R500 MDLP unit a few years ago. The main difference between the NH1 and NH900 is that the NH1 has an internal Li-ion battery, while the NH900 uses the standard "gumstick" battery. The NH900 does have a benefit in that it can also use a batteyr attchment to also use an AA battery in addition to the rechargable gumstick one. The NH1 also comes with a nicer remote too. The NH900 has a bigger LCD display than the NH1. Personally, Id rather go for the NH900 just because of the AA add-on. The bigger LCD display doesn't hurt.
  12. Any Hi-MD model up from the NH600D will have a Mic input. The NH700, NHF800, NH900, and NH1 are those models.
  13. The NH600D is a download only unit. This means that it doesn't have a Line Input or a Microphone Input either. The only way to use this particular unit is to copy music or any audio via USB from your PC to the MD unit. I'm sorry to say that you will not be able to use your microphone.
  14. There are two color options for the NH900, silver and black. The silver color is the only option for the US, sadly. Congrats on the very nice new recorder.
  15. Your understanding of how it works is correct. Sony doesn't support playlists like most MP3 players do. They only support the grouping of songs on a disc.
  16. No. The NE410, and all MD recorder/downloader models prior to the introduction of Hi-MD can use anything larger than a 80min disc. You can, and with a NE410, should use LP2 though. That will give you 160min per disc.

    What are these?

They look like MDR-D22 Eggos to me.
  18. A Hi-MD recorder seems to be up your alley in every way but price. You ought to be able to find a MZ-NH700 or MZ-NHF800 at the top end of your price range if you shop around online.
  19. Yes, the N420D is a lot smaller than the MD recorder pictured in that case, so you should be fine.
  20. I did, I was just teasing.
  21. Good luck regardless. Maybe you can check on the forums here and at http://www.minidisct.com/forum/forumdispla...p?s=&forumid=13 as well.
