just wait for the discs to go mainstream and continue to use the old discs, as they should be adequate for now...
-
one concern i have is that he can't use a pc ipod when he gets a mac, so i really think you shouldn't get either... instead get a both system compatible system hooked up despite my love for mds....
-
yes, it'll have english support, but it will never be seeing a english release in the states
-
The NH1 has optical, but i don't necessarily know if it is a out or in only
-
wow, i guess sears is getting quite technology forward =]
-
lool, i guess sony's been cutting down, there's no arguing that, but the un-backlit remote is definitely a setback
-
i have to agree, the iRivers are probably the most competitive live recording units on the markets at the moment

MZ-NH1 vs iPod Mini review is finally up on Head-Fi.

yeah, the USB on the current Hi-Md is disturbingly slow, but i guess it suffices for most purposes, as sony didnt really intend for us to back up entire systems on MD -
hmmm interesting... sony's getting very differentiated in their manufactoring i guess

wow, it sounds like the HD amp really does make a difference, i should look into kinda upgrading its power...... BASS LOVEr
-
my idea is similar to jadeclaw's that for lecturs a simple mono or any single piece mic will suffice as you don't exactly need stereo sound on that
-
sure, the backlight is useful on the NH1, but you really don't need it chewing [or rather destroying] your battery life down to zero. when you do need it, simply turn it back on or during the nighttime as it isnt very hard to do

I got my first Hi-md player NH900..but a little problem
AMPlitudeHD replied to souls's topic in Minidisc
yeah, i heard about that complaint about the non-existing kanji support on the new hi-md models. unfortunately, theres really nothing we can do until hopefully a new batch of models come out with the support -
ahahahaha, i guess none of us can get to it
-
whooh, i guess its ok, we can live on the currents until sony decides that its time to upgrade
-
i actually find the NH1's display ok to contend with, just needs some getting used to

wow, nice pics, i gotta agree with ipaqman with his comments on hte nh1, its a great piece of equipment if you can obtain it for less then the list price, otherwise, head for the nh900

HiMD.. models are out.. can owners verify features?
AMPlitudeHD replied to larry_llama's topic in Minidisc
ITS FINE DUDES calm down... okiesss the remote on the Nh1 is good on most hi-md but is close to useless on earlier models -
Is it just me, or are the new HI-MD units plain ugly?
AMPlitudeHD replied to Syrius's topic in Minidisc
no, actually, i've gotten quite used to the main display unit on the NH1, so i guess if you spend a bit of time with it, it can't be exactly bad, BTW, I LOVE IT -
i got mine through a specialty sony direct store that sold to me the NH1 for only 330 in cash no joke, its probably the best deal i've seen so far, considering the still-out-there dangers of buying online

Yet another HiMD wish which Sony should of thought of
AMPlitudeHD replied to kickingVegas's topic in Minidisc
i dunno, i guess it cant be so bad a deal considering the belkin for the ipod is about twice the price
