It should work. Try resetting again and you should be able to access the menu within your VAIO Pocket. Then proceed to initialize your unit by selecting "Settings" on the Main Menu screen and then select Initializations->Initialize Settings. Upon confirming the process, your VAIO Pocket will return to its original default factory condition. Good luck.

Welcome to ATRACLife! If I remember correctly, the reset button is located in a pin hole on the bottom of the unit - left of the lone screw in the middle. Here's a picture for your reference:
