If you like Warren's GU24: Reykjavik, you will enjoy GU30. Overall, it's a cool downtempo set.

To disassemble the PCG-GR114, you will need to acquire its service manual, which has detailed schematics to guide you thru the process. Run a search by Google and you should find a few etailers selling .pdf copies of VAIO service manuals. Good luck.

The Rolleiflex is a medium format TLR (Twin-Lens Reflex) camera system with a frame size of 6x6 cm. Twin-Lens Reflex means there are two lenses: one viewing (top) and taking (bottom). Accordingly, you focus and compose through the top one and take photos through the bottom one. Viewing is through a waist level finder (usually with flip up magnifier) or you can attach one of those eye-level finders. Some TLRs will take both 120mm and 220mm films. My Rollei takes 120mm film which is larger than either 35mm or digital. In my opinion, photo quality is better than either 35mm or digital format.

Question regarding Sony's International Warranty?
Ishiyoshi replied to .baby_dubz.'s topic in The Loft
If I remember correctly, Sony does include a one year International Warranty for its “Overseas Models” sold in Japan; and it will be honored in all 46 countries that Sony operates. However, certain Sony products such as the VAIO and BRAVIA may have different policies regarding International Warranty. For the majority of Sony “Overseas Models”, you should be able to walk into (or shipped the faulty/damaged item to) your local Sony Service Center or authorized distributors for free repair service covered by the International Warranty. *topic moved to its appropriate section of the forum. -
Update: Sony's new "Walkman Levitate" CM is now available for your download pleasure. Enjoy!

It’s generally easier to acquire part number of a certain item that is part of the main hardware. Since this item is sold separately as a complementary accessory, it may be difficult to obtain its part number. Regardless, I will try.

You can definitely convert AVI files (with DivX Video Compression) to AVC format with Image Converter.
-
Yes, Image Converter does convert .VOB files that were renamed as .MPG directly to AVC format. However, I would still keep PSP Video 9 for conversion of other formats to AVC.

Yes, you can simply rename the extension .VOB to .MPG (this is possible since Image Converter 2 Plus). It works most of the time but you may encounter audio sync issue.

Yes, in general, the sound signature of valve amps are said to be warm and rich. But they are not overly warm so to speak. With the right set of tubes (Tube Rolling), you will usually attain very realistic soundstage. Bass, mid-range and treble presentation are generally very well-rendered. For example, deep and refined bass (not bloated), airy and open mid-range (very detail without bring overly bright) and clear treble. Naturally, it goes without saying that one needs to find the right pair of headphone for a given valve amp. In my case, I had to find the right valve amp for my SA5000.
