You need to disable write-protection of the disc - to do this, pull/slide the write-protection tab to the left (the tab itself is located on the (front) side of the disc). Then resume your initial task accordingly.

Then reboot and run either MDCF's Full SonicStage 3.4 Installer or one of the official SonicStage web-installer accordingly. Report back if this works.
