Unfortunately, I still can't get Mp3 File Manager to run as it should using the autorun.inf script. I believe the problem is either: the files in question needs to be in the root directory; or autorun under Microsoft Windows XP does not support execution of applications under drives of USB type.Anyone care to help out?

Welcome to ATRACLife! This is a well-known issue and the usual culprit behind this lies with codec packs. Previous installations of codec packs [namely, FFDSHOW] may affect playback of ATRAC3plus files as well as Mp3 conversion to ATRAC3plus. To fix this, try uninstalling the codec packs. In the future, don't install codec packs. Rather, install the individual codec by itself - codec packs are known to have detrimental effects for your system. In addition, please upgrade your version of SonicStage to version 3.4. If you should have a large ATRAC library, run SonicStage Backup Tool to safeguard your tunes for any unforeseen issues.

Welcome to ATRACLife! I am not sure about the right-click on device method. But you can simply include one additional line to your existing autorun.inf. This will load Mp3 File Manager automatically - whenever you connect the device to your PC. For your convenience: [autorun] open=MP3FM\MP3FileManager.exe icon=xxx.ico label=xxx

That's just the .ini tweak. One will need to further apply the appropriate registry edit as I have outlined in this guide: "Titling ATRAC Files In Japanese/Chinese/Korean, ... using non-Japanese SonicStage 3.x" to ensure that the UI display Japanese texts as it should. Of course, if one is not fluent in Japanese the Asia-Pacific version of SonicStage would be the best choice to avoid the initialization request. Many users have reported success with the Asia-Pacific version. However, the author of this thread is not having much luck thus far.

ClearType Antialiasing significantly improves readability on color LCD monitors with digital interface - especially those in laptops and high-quality flat desktop displays. By default, SonicStage does not have ClearType Antialiasing - thus the guide to enable it manually. No. Unfortunately, you will have to edit each and every XML file I have outlined within the guide.
