The unit itself; and if I remember correctly, SonicStage 3.4 is a prerequisite to facilitate the new uploading functions.
-
Unfortunately, across the board. But we should definitely keep a look out.

Yes, possibly the only model for this year.

One of the bundled softwares - Hi-MD Music Transfer for Mac Ver1.0 enables upload of files in Hi-MD and PCM mode into .WAV format from the RH1 to Mac.
-
just for your private collection eh?
-
Clarification: I made a mistake in declaring the body is made of magnesium; got too excited when I read magnesium body in the chart - the RH1's body is not made of magnesium. I apologize for the confusion.

Most likely the RM-MC35ELK.

Defying Expectations, Third Generation Hi-MD Unit Surfaces?
Ishiyoshi replied to Christopher's topic in News
@ MZ-1: I have edited your post. Please do not include any image larger than 800x600 (using img code) in a forum post; rather include a link or attachment. @ tnargsemaj: I have deleted your post as it has nothing to do with the topic of the thread. Please forward your query to our sister forum ATRACLife as outlined by The Low Volta. -
Update: MZ-RH1 Icons are now available for download. Enjoy.

You will need to drop the .SKN files into your VAIO Pocket's "VAIO_SKIN" folder. If it does not exist, just create a new folder accordingly as "VAIO_SKIN."

Please utilize the search function of the forum in the future. You can install CONNECT Player manually; and apply its corresponding updates later - please find instructions within this thread Did you manage to disable ffdshow according to the instructions I have outlined in the preceding posts?

--> Start Menu>Programs>FFDShow>Audio Filter Configuration. Within configuration, you should be able to disable the ffdshow audio codec for Mp3, AC3, DTS and etc. NOTE: I have never employed ffdshow - so, I hope the instructions are to the letter. Otherwise, fiddle a little within its utility settings section or try and select "do not use" within your "Control Panel>Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices>Sounds and Audio Devices Properties>Hardware tab>Audio Codecs>Properties>*locate the corresponding acronym for ffdshow" I hope this will alleviate your current predicament. Good luck and report back if the problem still persists.

Ishiyoshi replied to lamewing's topic in Classifieds
I can definitely relate to this. My girlfriend frowns whenever I bring home a new gadget. Well, best of luck with the sale. -
Indeed. It would be interesting if we can recreate the VAIO Pocket's Skin (.SKN).

I have the MZ-E10 (you can review my pictorial within the "Pictorial-Review" section of our forum) since its advent and it's still running like clockwork. In addition to the MZ-E10, I have other smaller or mini-sized gadget which is still in excellent operational condition after years of usage. Regardless size of the MD in question (not taking build and component quality into consideration), its life expectancy, in my opinion is relative to how one use it.

Hmm... in that case, convert those affected Mp3 files to WAV (if you must have ATRAC3plus in the target device). Then re-import and convert/transfer (at your desired ATRAC3plus bit rate) accordingly to the target device.
-
Could you please elaborate on the Mp3 file in question? CBR? VBR? I ask of this because SonicStage is known to be somewhat temperamental with VBR type. If the Mp3 file in question is of VBR type, convert it to CBR and try again with SonicStage. Another point worth noting is that SonicStage will not convert (if I remember correctly) from a lower to higher high bit rate.

There could be a conflict between SonicStage and some of your existing (if there's any) codecs - one that comes to mind is the FFDSHOW. Remove this if it's present within your system. As a safeguard, always utilize SonicStage Backup Tool before an upgrade. For your reference, SonicStage Backup Tool resides at: C:\Program Files\Sony\SonicStage\Omgbkup.exe
