I used to record in LP4 on my old MD player using my optical cable It was lovely Now I use sonic stage to move CDs to MDs @ ATRAC3 66Kbps But its not as good Does that seem right? And don't get me onto 64Kbps Its carp in retrospacct

shut it Its a cleaver gimmick or (USP) that sony would never think of even though ts very easy and makes the player much more interesting

volta to be stealthy just hide it in your jacket- when its just the battery symbol its not that bright. The organic illumination is AMAZING to see. and in about 90% of cases it does me fine. however I got the standard remote for it. the glowing remot would have been cool but where to buy one (im not big on online shopping) Best thing to do is just get a standard 900 then a glowing remote with the cash you save IMO

like playing ATRAC3+ Hi-SP RH10 side car alone 13.5 internal 12.5 combined 28.5 (when you expect it to be 26) Thats as maybe: but it should contain the same amount of power! ie: if theres 40 units of power in the internal, and 50 in the sidecar: then thats 90 units of power. but if you combine them then they become 100 units!? andd why is it that in recording more: the internal lasts about double the time of the sidecar, whereas in playback the internal lasts a little less than the sidecar

Why does using the side car and internal battery combines last longer than using the side car alone then the internal alone?

Low Volta: Theres two settings for the OELD always on = very bright when you push a botton then down to a dimmer glow. you can't see this dim in direct light. Auto = Very bright when you touch a botton; then dim- scrolling through the track name artist and album then a play triangle and battary level indicator remain. thats all.

it was 1 GB and could make voice recordings. it also had a backlit LCD display with SIXTEEN!!! diffrent illuninating colours Woulnd't that be great if we had that for the RH-10: green colours one moment and the next moment we make it FUSIA! Make it sony

I have the RH10 and the Organic illumination is amazing: but novel. I actually wish i could have a backlight instead because: the illumination seems to use lots more power than my old MD 33hours just wont happen: i swear! Plus is bright light its very hard to read. Also when i am in bed listing to it: it lights up the whole room even though its just 3 little bits of light The RH10 is an amazing machine: but it's not the best in extreme light or when you want darkness and conserve power.

can anyone tell the diffrence between 352, old 292 or modern 256?

It is not so much that people are being abused- but there is just a general hostility to newbies: who actually might not know any better. So what if someone posts a really general question. We can all put our ten-pence worth in; and hopefully the person will learn more. And if they post something thats already been mentioned try not whip-them to death!! oh and blu don't tell me not to cry: it DOESN'T happen on other forums

If a newbie posts something that we discussed YEARS ago he gets moaned at. Sarcy comments like "use the search function and...." And if someone has the audacity to make two topics about things that are linked in some way then again the yellin. Can't we take a metaphorical chill pill? why If someone told you 15 years ago that a new scheme caled "atrac" would give you 1.4 Mbps sound quaity, but actually only operate @ 292 Kps you'd call them a lier maybe in 5 years ATRAC will have refined again However I dont think we will be storing the data on small diskettes

1411 KBPS is an ATRAC3+ but is also used in CDs and WAVs they are 100% pure 352 KBPS is an ATRAC3+ "lossless". How can this be if CD music is recorded @ 1411 kbps 292 is ATRAC Its lossy, but very very good. Infact some say it's better than 256 256 ATRAC 3+ Is a lossy compression: but is very good. the new sonic stage has enhanced / improved all the other bitrates

66kbps atrac is better than 48 atrac+ however i personally think that LP4 on my old player is somehow better than old 48
