Saw the XEL-1 at my local Sony Centre store recently-the A$7000 price isn't apealling (yet Sony Australia will still offer the XEL-1).

The styling around the lens sort of remonds me of the DSC-T70 (from 2007)

I believe it'll be released here in Australia (according to a PDF of the "PULSE" catalog)-although haven't seen it for sale yet (was supposed to be out this month). Noticed the packaging is getting smaller compared to previous models.

Australia for instance hasn't seen a new XBR model since the "xbr45". Europe model numbers will be something along the lines of V6500/W6500/S6500,etc.

S740 series is going to be out in Australia as well as Asia-according to Sony Australia's PULSE catalogue.

I think it's highly unlikely Sonicstage 4.3 will be yupdated for Windows 7 compatibility-but it may work unofficially.

It was like that when I bought it-from a second hand shop.

iTunes 9 doesn't seem to work with "Logitech media display" applet (seen on the LCD display of a G series keyboard).

I thought at least Sony ould have included a minijack on their iPod docking compatible products.

Although it will appear on Macs, i believe Sony still states Macs as a unsupported OS in their user manuals.
