Needs to be in MS format if Sony were to adopt it.
-
Still can get MD blanks at some stores in Australia-but not Sony Centre stores, mainly Dick Smith has them, while second hand shops often have HI-MD units for sale.
-
Best neckband type under $10 has got to be one of the MDR-G street style from Sony. Mine is the original model-the G61 from 1997 and it is a nice sounding headphone. 2008 models in Sony's street style line are the MDR-G45/G55/G75LW.

I have a MZ-E620 and as it did not come with a charging stand for NH-WM14-so I use: A rechargeable AA battery in the external battery case it came with it-haven't had to change the battery since I got it.

Got a MDR-G61 for a $1 earlier this week while at a charity store. Mine is the G61A version. I fixed the plug end part of the cord with some tape because the rubber was worn off, then took off the fabric on each side and put a set of new black earpads we bought at Tandy.. It's very light and comfortable tlo wear for any period of time and sounds great too.

RM-MC33EL is compatible with MZ-N510, as is the MZ-R700's RM-MZ4R. -
Hello to a shiny MZ-N510 Goodbye to using a iPod for recording to MD via headphone jack.
-
I like how easy it is to record a MD-much easier than having to use a iPod with a attachment =, then transfer the file to the PC. The N510 lets me easily record and transfer music on my PC to a MD blank with little fuss. Much better than the iPod.
-
Bought a MZ-N510 Net MD recorder for $35 The N510 I got came with no accessories,but my RM-MC33EL and RM-MZ4R renotes work on it. I have a E105 as well-it's a nice ATRAC/MP3 Walkman.

Philips AZ6841, RCA RP2425B, Sony MDR-G61, Sony MDR-E818, 80's Aiwa earphones, Sony WM-FX211: All up-these cost me just $3.

I discovered a new way to record a MD- recording streamed music via a Bluetooth adaptor. We use Sony's HWS-BTA2W, which is used to stream audio from my Mac to record onto a MD. It's a strange recording method, but works extremely well and recorded sound is good.
-
Me too-it's not that useless: my MZ-R700 makes great recordings from any source. I can even record to MD, songs in iTunes streamed via a Sony HWS-BTA2W bluetooth adaptor kit.

The laser in my MZ-E620 is not defective. Only happens when the RM-MC33EL remote is connected--connected a RM-MZ4R remote from my R700 to the E620 and it now works OK.
-
The message disappears when I remove the battery case from the player and I can use it again, thanks for the suggestion. Without a service manual for my MZ-E620, it's possible to know which laser is used.
-
What is a "ERROR" message that can appear on the display-is it a MD blank or hardware problem?

I own a R series MD Walkman-a R700 and it's been quite good.

Sony MZ-E620 Review Price:$33 at Cash Converters Contents as provided :MZ-E620,RM-MC33EL remote,NH-14WM gumstick battery,AA battery case Not included with the purchase:charging cradle as it's 100v and wouldn't work in Australia (and thus was not included), manual (but easy to find on sony.co.jp). Overview: MZ-E620 is a Japanese model-and was suprised at that fact when I saw it in the shop. Despite it being a Japan model, it was purchased in Australia, and the remote has a English display. No charging stand was included probably because of Australia using 230v vs Japan’s 100v-which is fine by me as I'll use the supplied battery case. Design: Very stylish, with a slim profile and buttonless top-controls are on the bottom. Jacks include a remote/headphone and contacts for the AA battery case. Features: A digital amplifier is used to produce nice sound from MD discs, as is a 6 band EQ with presets-heavy,pops,jazz and 2 custom EQ settings. The RM-MC33EL remote has a backlight, volume control via a jog dial and buttons for playmode, folder +/-,display,stop and a slide switch for playback/enter (press down for the latter) Sound quality: MZ-E620's sound quality is quite impressive-distortion free sound is produced, I made a recording with my other MD-the R700 from my Sony stereo and it sounds clear and vibrant on the E620. Manuals: The PDF manual from Sony's Japan site was all in Japanese: I had a bit trouble setting various options, even though I know and can understand Japanese. Other: The supplied remote can be used with some other models-I used it with my R700 as a simple playback remote. There's a clip on the back that can be taken off easily. Overall: The MZ-E620 is a interesting MD player that never seemed to be sold outside of Japan-it's worth tracking down, as it's a very nice player-only MD Walkman. Photo:

When I stop playing a MD in the MZ-E620, ERROR appears on the remote's display-what could be causing this and how can I fix it?
-
The E620 is a very good MDplayer-as you get the option of using a NH-WM14 pack or a attachable AA battery box. Suprised to see in an Australian store-and was less than $50-$33 was the price paid. Nice styling and very light

RM-MC33EL works with MZ-R700 for playback only-you still need the RM-MZ4R for editing functions. -
MZ-E620 MD Player-a Japanese model. Purchased this at Cash Converters for $33. Also own a MZ-R700-a recorder to record MD's to play in the E620, so now I have both a MD recorder and player (the MC33EL remote also works on the R700). Despite it being a Japan model, the remote has a English display and no charging stand was included probably because of Australia using 230v vs Japan's 100v-which is fine by me Photo of the box and contents-MZ-E620,battery case,NH-WM14 battery, AA battery box and RM-MC33EL remote:
