Paula
Hi Forum-I'm wondering about those little plastic boxes that Hi-MD's come packaged in. Looks like a cassette tape box, but a bit smaller. Anyway - when I bought my unit (NH900) it came with one disc and a plastic sleeve (barely bigger than the disc itself) it slips into. I like that WAY better than the cassette boxes my add'l HiMD's came in. Do Hi-MD's come packaged in those little sleeves? Can the sleeves be had separately? Thanks! tartan
himds are sold in the large cases, the sleeves had never been seen sold separately like cd jewel cases are, because minidiscs are not as common as cdr's. the only known way to get sleeves is to buy regular minidiscs and swap the cases with the sleeves the discs came in, but some discs will be left caseless or use the himd cases to store rarely or never used discs. Funny, cos literally yesterday in Sheffield (UK) Maplin's they were selling packs of 10 MD cases for £1.19. theblueraja
I've purchased those jewel case-like MD cases before... I just wish they sold the Sony "slip-in sleeves", if you will, that come with most Sony blanks. Those rule, but I've never seen them sold separately.Maybe next time someone gives up all their blanks on Ebay, I'll buy them for the sleeves, tho that could be more money than they're worth. raintheory
I had thought the new crystal-blue HiMD discs came in a sleeve and not the larger case? Not that I have any of these yet, but I was led to believe this...

garcou
I have tons of sony sleeves cases, because I changed them for crystal jewel cases like minidiscacces or mapli ones to make pretty covers.I'm an ebay and paypal member, if you are interested..but I live in France so I don't know if it woth the shipping cost...What I dont like with the new blue Himd is that small writing screen where I cannot put a pretty stick. Why Sony always wastes time and money with unnecessary changes??? I've got about 40 Sony sleeves, 20 Memorex sleeves, and a handful of JVC sleeves.I'll keep this thread updated if I order the Jewel cases and sell my sleeves.
