Hironiemus
Maybe they just added the camera to have another feature to cheat with. Like interpolating the pictures and selling it as a 3MP camera in 3. Generation

Generation ← Yes: you can make photos with your DH10p, yes: you can store them on Hi-MD, but no: you can NOT upload them to your PC. When you want to have the photos on your PC, you have to make a photo of the display with another camera. That would be typical Sony style.

Ug
the MZ-DH10P its slow for a camera, and bulky for a MD , this model it's not for me, I prefer a good MD and a good camera, not this
hobgoblin
that depends on how you use the camera. for the picture taking itself is fast, just like any other camera. what takes time is the writing to disk bit. but if your like most other happy snappers the time should not be that much more diffrent to say a flashbulb charging...as for bulky, its hard to tell from the images but i dont think that is much more then a slightly fat md player given how small they can make a digital camera if they remove any optical zoom abiility and the mechanical parts needed for that...still, like the article say, the electronics needed for the image prosessing takes up a nice bit of area. thats why they have removed the recording ability i think i will find a device like this useable, now if only sony can get working on some massproduction of hi-md media! Christopher
I just want to say thanks again to Ishiiyoshi for such a good job on translating this piece. Definitely one of my favorite MD articles I've read - it's a shame that Sony US doesn't offer such featurettes like this, whereas Sony Japan really tries to paint a good image for Hi-/MD. highlandsun
This is what they should have released instead of the DCM-MDM1 years ago. MD capacity was way too inadequate for video, but as a still camera it would have done very well. And if they had released it back then, it might have sold well enough to justify further refinement, so that today it would be the tiny size one would expect...
