jhellman
i've searched for about an hour and can't find the answer -- on the newest hi-md players, is it possible to plug the device into a computer without sonicstage software installed, drag mp3 files onto the drive, and then listen to them on the player?if not, is there any way to get music onto the player which can be listened to, if the computer doesn't have sonicstage?thanks.jacob
atrain
nope. you could save them as data like that but not as audio. there is an mp3 manager for mp3 NWs but i'm not sure if it's compatible so afaik nope.

Syrius
It just won't work. We would have found out long ago if it did.
hobgoblin
my bad, i was thinking of that program talked about in the news section that was able to transfer mp3s to the hd players without needing a sony app. it would be nice to know if that one works on 2nd gen hi-md players to. the app your talking about is a diffrent, right?
