Andicillo
Sony advertises in it's connect webpage the MP3 conversion tool to import mp3 files to Sonicstage 3.1. The problem is that you install it and it asks you for version 2.1 or higher...¿How can you tell them that the program is just not working? it is really a shame that they offer a useless thing to download from their website... MZ-NH1
Are you saying you want to import MP3's into SS? or you want to Convert ATRAC files to MP3?If you want to import mp3 files into the SS library, then all you need to do is go File, Import Folder... and select the folder...If you want to convert a ATRAC files into mp3, then I strongly suggest using Marc's conversion tool. It is Extremely easy to use, and can be downloaded by clicking the "Download" Icon at the top of this form.
sknight
I found it to be a big pain to use because it won't recognize single songs, it will only recognize my entire folder. So I just drag the songs I want into the Sonicstage and let it do the work. There has to be a better way.

I just rebuilt my desktop and put a fresh load of Windows XP on the machine. Installed Sonic Stage 3.1 and and the MP3 conversion tool. However, when I start the MP3 Converstion tool, it gives me the error - Sonicstage 2.1 or higher required, indicating that I have a lower level of Sonicstage. Remember this is a new build and a fresh load of Windows XP on a newly formated harddrive.Still looking for answers,,,,Robert
zerodB
It seems the MP3 conversion tool won't work with the latest version of SonicStage. The MP3 conversion tool is to assist a mass conversion of MP3 -> ATRAC3.
Silvos
To fix this issue open regedit and go to this key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\SonicStage Shared Libraryin the right hand pane there is a Version key. Right click on version and click on modify replace the version with something greater than 2.1 I used 2.1.5.02.08220 Close regedit and run the conversion tool!Enjoy! Silvos
I have just discovered that this conversion tool only converts to the Atrac3plus format. This format is only good to me if I have a Hi-MD which I don't. Does anyone know if there is a batch converter like this but does Atrac3 @ 105?Thanks

Rogge
Well it doesn't work for me I only have shared info and inthere i have version pathi use ss3.1 xp sp2 any body can help←Instead of changing the value, you should ADD the value and the key:If you don't have the key "Version" or the key "SonicStage Shared Library", simply add the key ADDHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Corporation\SonicStage Shared LibraryThen add in "SonicStage Shared Library" the string "Version", give it the value "2.1.5.02.08220" or so.Close Regedit and you're done
