Christopher
Very sad indeed. Been watching it all morning, and I hope no MDCF'ers or their family were affected in the attacks - the UK makes up more than 1/4th of the hits that come here. Truly a dark day for London in the midst of the success of Live8 and the Olympic revelations for 2012.

The Low Volta
I have quite some friends, family and correspondents working in that area and I myself have only very recently passed through most of the affected stations and squares when I went to a London based conference about the Beeb...just makes the whole thing even more gruesome...my hart goes out to the victims... but I was a bit irritated by Blair saying it was clearly meant to disturb the Scottish based G8-summit... I think that is of very poor taste towards the innocent ppl that got hurt almost at the opposite side of the country! Almost makes me want to say: "if only they had blown up the G8-meeting itself, at least a lot less innocent ppl - intended to be read in both possible ways - would have been hurt..."but to be extra clear: this is only my emotional reaction and absolutely no promotion of terrorist attacks against politicians whatsoeverit's a mad world we live in...Volta
KJ_Palmer
What a horrible, sad day this is for London, when it should have been one for rejoicing. Eerie atmosphere here - never heard it so quiet, we're all in shock I think. They did say such an attack was inevitable, but we never thought it would really happen. Don't feel much like working or doing anything at all, just feel sick at heart. We'll probably never feel truly safe again here. That's the price of democracy I suppose.Cheers

I'd just like to say thanks for everyone's support and kind words during these dark times.
Keith
Things are calming down here now. Train stations have just reopened so I think we're over the initial emergency. It was always going to happen one day. I just pray there are not too many hurt.Keith
