ok, im freaking out here.

just got back from a concert last night.. recorded the show (Hi-MD disc, PCM mode), and everything came out fine. tried to erase the first track (just misc. crowd noise) and accidentaly pressed "ALL ERASE".. now the whole disc is wiped!

it hasnt been reformatted, so ive heard that the information can be retrieved. is this true? if so, how?? PLEASE let me know as this was an important show for me and i'd really hate to have lost it.

Hi angels vs. aliens (nice name, btw),

Unfortionatly, there is currently no way to recover audio recorded in Hi-MD mode. A process called TOC cloning is available for non-Hi-MD minidisc recordings, but until we (we as in the minidisc user community) get either...

A). A Hi-MD deck capable of Hi-MD TOC cloning

or...

cool.gif. A set of software tools for Hi-MD disc recovery

...you're out of luck. sad.gif I would e-mail Sony begging and pleading for recovery tools. Contacting Sony really seems to be your only hope if you really want to recover your lost recording. I wish you good luck.

well something weird happenned to me recently, I changed Hi-MD disc and my portable NH1 kept in memory the toc of the hi-MD disc I ejected, all tracks name was from the HI-MD I ejected...but couldn't read the new one I inserted. blink.gif

If you've not yet ejected it, you could try powering off the unit & getting the disc out somehow while powered off.

I don't know if it applies, but I did read something suggesting that the index/toc was only updated on eject and someone had had some success with that approach.
