I'm not a computer wizard by no means, and am glad to see there is a forum on this topic. Although I was not able to find my particular problem listed here. I have attempted to use various resources to unravel the mystery of why Sonic Stage will not recognize my mini-disc player plugged into to my USB port. My computer is responsive, just not sonic stage. I am running windows xp home edition and if anyone can help me alleviate this problem I would be so grateful! Thank You Guy

What Hi-MD do you have?

What version of Sonic Stage do you have installed?

Did you install Sonic Stage and the hi-md driver before attatching the player to the USB port?

Have you tried plugging it into to any other USB ports on the same computer?

Thanks for the reply. The answer to your questions are, I have a mz-nh700 model, version 2.0.02 of ss, and yes I installed ss before i plugged my Md in, and I have tried every USB port on my computer....

Try looking at this article:

http://kb.sony-europe.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEB...8,Case=obj(573)

It talks about Net-MD's not being recognized, but the concepts discussed are equally applicable to HI-MD's.

Let us know how you get on.
