atrain Posted August 9, 2005 Report Share Posted August 9, 2005 bittorrent is a centralised file sharer rather than a true P2P.okay a tracker is a centralised location that holds the dtails of the file & arranges who's downloading what & when. this centralisation is one of the reasons BT is easy to shut down, get the servers, squash the network.when you posted the piratebay torrent you use their very reliable tracker. i wondered if you had you own for the previous link, if not that's where it went wrong. next time try yousendit.com as it's more anonymous & doesn't require any third parties in the transaction.anyway it's all cool.
