Undetectable way to break NH600?

My guess is that he wants to return it while it is still under warranty and upgrade to another model?

That's lame... if you're that desperate to upgrade, sell it & use the money towards another model. I'd never break a unit on purpose.

a real undetectable way? just use extensively, day in day out, till it just stops (probably in about three to five years time) then buy the most recent decent model around...

please don't ask such questions on a forum full of MD-loving ppl, I (like many other ppl here) treat my player with much respect and will never damage it on purpose... you want a new one, save for it, do not misuse Sony's trust, as it is already difficult enough to find consumer electronics with good warranty!

sorry man, but not reading the specs before you buy and then being stuck with a machine you can't use is not a sufficient reason to deliberately go breaking stuff to get a refund/change... sell it or give it away tongue.gif but don't trash it

A reply to someone messing with the service mode:

so if it's still under warranty, you could always take it in for repairs and go: "well mister, I do not really know a lot of electronic machinery...but when I popped in a disc last night all I got was this (show the error) and I do know that it isn't supposed to say that... perhaps it didn't like the music on that disc? It was Mariah Carrey or something, so that could be it tongue.gif "

well, without the Mariah bit of course, but just play dumb and do not mention you went into service mode yourself... it could well be that they repair it under warranty

You're so contradictory. laugh.gif
