nomad0410
I'm considering to purchase a RH10 unit. I'd use it mostly for recording interviews. Is it possible to tag recordings and skip them to make a new recording?Does anybody have a link to a RH10 PDF manual? Thanks!
The Low Volta
hi, and welcome to MDCF,this thread belongs more or less in the 'find your minidisc' or 'live recording' sections I guess, so perhaps the mods will move itIs it possible to tag recordings and skip them to make a new recording?could you clarify what exactly you mean by this? each press of pause or manual trackmark will create a new 'track' which can be rased later...but if you plan to transfer to PC: do all editing (like erasing trackmarks, etc) on the PC after uploading, as it might ruin the recording otherwise

nomad0410
If I make recordings can I give them a name. Interview 1, interview 2 - So I can identify them later on the display screen.
Roamer
Yes. You can name disc and tracks. Check the manual / SonicStage for 'Titling'.

I got a weird error last night (omgibox or something like that) for the first time in 3 weeks of use and ss closed down! it did not erase my recordings but I was worried, I had renamed the files before uploading.btw, I have ss3.2 installed on an xp pc with sp2 installedFergus
The Low Volta
are you saying to not modify the file before uploading to the pc? does this include renaming the file so that it is easier to find in ss?I do not really know about titling as I do not do this on the recorder (ever) as I find it too much trouble... at least I had never heard of titling leading to errors (though the OMGjbox error does sound like the other errors when a disc was edited)I do know that setting/erasing trackmarks very often leads to errors, but perhaps titling is dangerous as wellmy technique is to not title on the recorder, just connect to SS, and just title with SS before uploading... that way of titling I have been using for quite a while now and it has never lead to errors!IMHO the safest way to upload is very clearly described right here... just follow this and you will (probably ) be safe

I was uploading 3 files (I am using groups), 2 files uploaded ok but the 3rd one caused the error, I had titled all 3 using ss before upload.Fergus
